WWT: Back-to-School; Back-to-Prayer Week 2

Wisdom pin

Thank you for joining me again as we pray our kids back to school!

Week 2:

For Wisdom and Understanding

Father,

In the name of your precious son, Jesus, we ask that you will give our children all the wisdom and understanding they need as they start this new school year. Your wisdom is all encompassing and their need is great. Thank you that in you they can walk away from foolish and unwise choices.

Ephesians 1: 7 -8 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,” (NIV)

May my children’s thinking be filtered by Your word and Your truth so that all ideas, thoughts and feelings are tested for validity. Make them sensitive to discern lies and steer clear of confusion producing ideas and philosophies. May the enemy have no fertile ground to plant any seeds that go against Your truth.

Thank you for Your protection. Help them to embrace it!

Amen

As your precious children prepare for another school year, what concerns are on your mind? I’m praying for godly friends, boldness in faith and unshakable confidence in Christ for my kids. How can I pray for your child today?

pray for my 14 years old son who is starting high school; that he will live wisely; he is not making good choices now; and my heart prays that high school will be more of a good way

  2. Thank you for this wonderful prayer and its timeliness! Our daughter starts her second year of college in a few weeks. Her first year was very difficult in a number of ways and she has a lot of pressure on her to keep her grades up this year to keep her institutional aid. An illness, roommate problems, and lack of preparation of the rigors of this school in high school were contributing factors. Please pray that she remain well this year, be able to keep up her confidence and focus, and find assistance if she begins to feel the academic pressure. Our son was the subject of bullying of peers and belittling by teachers last year, which affected his grades and self-confidence also. He has had a good summer and the faith of both children have grown this summer. Please pray for guidance, protection, and faithful friends to support them this year. I will pray for your children also as you send them off in the coming weeks. I pray your daughter will find a strong group of Christian friends while she is away at college. IVCF has been a blessing to our daughter. I hope she finds a similar group to share in fellowship.
